Subtracks and whole-track bundles
Buying lessons together saves you money. Per-lesson rates drop as the subtrack gets bigger, and any track with five or more paid lessons takes an additional 20% bundle discount when you buy the whole thing. Calculated prices round down to the nearest $5.

Why these prices
Every track on BiTree starts from zero and walks the student to professional-level competence. The same curriculum a hobbyist follows is the one a career-changer follows. We price low enough that any motivated student can afford a single lesson, and discount the bundles enough that committed learners save a lot. Live sessions are taught by tutors who passed a per-subtrack proctored assessment, so the With Tutor tier is what it sounds like.
How we vet our tutors
Volunteer does not mean unfiltered. Every BiTree tutor passes a multi-step screening on both teaching ability and technical depth before they are allowed to take a paid session. The bar is high on purpose. A student paying for a live tutor should leave that session more capable than they started.
- Per-subtrack written application. Coursework, certifications, work history, projects, and prior teaching experience are submitted for every subtrack the applicant wants to teach. Vague answers do not pass review.
- Proctored competency assessment. One assessment per subtrack, taken with the webcam and screen recorded for review. No notes, no second monitor, no shared tabs. The applicant must pass each assessment to move on.
- Manual BiTree review. A reviewer watches the recording, reads the application, and looks at the AI-graded summary before making a decision. Approval is granted only when both teaching clarity and technical depth check out.
- Approval is per subtrack. A tutor approved for Identity and Access Management does not teach Penetration Testing. Every subtrack gets its own application, its own assessment, and its own review.
- Ongoing accountability. Every session is rated by the student. Reports are reviewed by the BiTree team. Sustained inactivity, repeated low ratings, or any code-of-conduct violation can revoke approval.

Common questions
Which lesson is free?▾
The very first lesson of every main track is completely free. No credit card required. That includes Web Development, Cybersecurity (via the free Intro lesson), and Artificial Intelligence.
What's the difference between Self-Paced and With Tutor?▾
Self-Paced ($12) gives you full curriculum access to learn on your own. With Tutor ($18) includes everything in Self-Paced plus the ability to schedule a live 1-on-1 session with a vetted volunteer tutor for that lesson.
Can I upgrade from Self-Paced to With Tutor?▾
Yes. Single lesson is $6. Upgrading a whole subtrack or bundle is half its self-paced price, rounded down to $5.
How does the subtrack and whole-track bundle work?▾
Per-lesson rates drop into a tier based on how many paid lessons the subtrack has. A whole track with five or more paid lessons (counting standalone lessons plus every subtrack underneath) takes an additional 20% bundle discount. If you already bought a subtrack on its own, that purchase becomes credit toward the parent track bundle at the same access tier.
What's the first paid lesson discount?▾
Once you complete the free intro lesson of a track, your first paid lesson in that track is discounted to $7 Self-Paced or $10 With Tutor. One use per student per track. Show up to the intro, finish it, then the discount appears on the next paid lesson page.
Who teaches the live sessions, and how are they vetted?▾
Every volunteer tutor passes a per-subtrack written application, a proctored competency assessment recorded on webcam and screen, and a manual review by the BiTree team. Approval is granted one subtrack at a time. Ongoing student ratings and report reviews can revoke that approval. The aim is simple: every paid live session should leave the student more capable.
How do certifications work?▾
Completing all lessons in a track earns you a digital certification badge on your profile. Certifications are awarded for each sub-track. A full Cybersecurity certification is awarded when all eleven cybersecurity sub-tracks are complete, and a full AI Agents certification when all three AI Agents sub-tracks are complete.
I'm a teacher. Is there an educator plan?▾
Yes. Verified educators get free Individual access plus classrooms with up to 30 students each. Schools and districts have institution plans with shared session credits for live tutoring. See the Educators page for details.
