Become a Volunteer Tutor
BiTree tutors are volunteer educators helping students build real skills in coding, cybersecurity, and AI. This is a chance to build teaching experience and contribute to a growing platform.
The bar is high on purpose. Students paying for a live session deserve a tutor who knows the material cold and can teach it clearly. Before you take a paid session, you pass a per-subtrack written application, a proctored competency assessment with your webcam and screen recorded, and a manual review by the BiTree team. Approval is granted one subtrack at a time and is never automatic.
The screening process, step by step
- 1Written application. For every subtrack you apply to teach, describe your coursework, certifications, work history, projects, and prior teaching experience. Vague answers do not pass review.
- 2Proctored competency assessment. One assessment per subtrack, taken in a single sitting with your webcam and screen recorded for review. No notes, no second monitor, no shared tabs. You must pass each assessment to move on.
- 3Manual team review. A BiTree reviewer watches the recording, reads your application, and looks at the AI-graded summary before making a decision. Approval is granted only when both teaching clarity and technical depth check out.
- 4Ongoing accountability. Every session is rated by the student. Reports are reviewed by the BiTree team. Repeated low ratings, sustained inactivity, or any code-of-conduct violation can revoke your approval.
Approval is granted per subtrack. You only teach lessons inside subtracks you are approved for.
Application
Tell us about your experience for each subtrack you want to teach. Pick up to 5 subtracks.
